Personal vision transcends technical skill and the elements of design. It is this passion for individual self-expression that makes a craftsperson an artist. In a world full of options these artists have chosen to work with fiber or fiber techniques. Dyeing, twining, stitching, embossing, weaving, papermaking, painting – in dozens of ways over thousands of hours, they transform materials into functional and decorative artworks. Each reinvents timeless traditions to reflect today’s vision – global, connected. aware, stylish.
The Fiber Artists Collective (FAC) is an organization of professional fiber artists creating fiber art for residential, corporate and public settings. The Fiber Artists Collective’s mission is to enable professional fiber artists to work cooperatively to present and market their work, educate the public and inspire its appreciation and awareness of works of contemporary fiber art.
There are underlying threads that bind us together as a group:

- High standards of honesty in our professional life.
- Ongoing educational programs about fiber and art.
- Open handed generosity toward others in our field.
Members of the Fiber Artists Collective are available for speaking engagements, gallery shows and group exhibits. Please contact individual artists for direct commissions or sale of their work.
