Membership in the Fiber Artists Collective is open to professional contemporary fiber
artists who demonstrate a commitment to creating high-quality works of fiber art. Most FAC
members have a minimum of five years of professional experience. Members' work must
reflect excellence, be well conceived, expertly executed, and reflect the unique design,
skill, and vision of the fiber artist.
Applicants for membership must be
nominated by a current member familiar with their work, after which the screening
committee may issue an invitation to apply for membership. The application will be
evaluated by a five-person review panel.
Membership in the Fiber Artists Collective
offers the opportunity to:
participate in an annual mailing to the trade providing
exposure to galleries, museums, designers and the media;
be included in
FAC exhibitions, presentations and special events as well as FAC public-relations
programs;
have an
individual gallery page on the FAC website gallery; and
solicit advice and information from other fiber artists
through the FAC Member Forum.
FAC members are expected to participate in
developing opportunities and promoting fiber art by sharing gallery and media resources
and by volunteering for our various activities.
Annual membership dues are $100 and cover
a period from April 1 to March 31.
If you have any questions regarding
membership, please contact Libby Mijanovich.
