Claudia Mills

• Invited to create work for “Rooms for Art,” Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Madison, WI, Apr. 25-27. Fifteen designers created vignettes inspired by works from the museum’s permanent collection. Designer Tom McHugh, using a Claes Oldenburg painting as a point of departure, created a bedroom and invited Claudia to weave leather rugs to “evoke waves on a lake or ocean” and a silk comforter with “ethereal overtones.”
