To make a quilt, I gather a palette of fabrics next to the sewing machine and without further planning, build a collection of small blocks until a final composition emerges. The design process is spontaneous but careful and each block is unique. While abstract shapes, angles, and colors are my immediate focus, it is undeniable that the urban landscape of apartment buildings, industry, and endless windows is a constant theme in my work.
