The timeless art of creating handwoven rugs is practiced in many cultures. While rag rugs were traditionally woven with recycled textiles, I create rugs in a fresh palette of colors and new fabrics. I have developed a contemporary weaving style incorporating 100% cotton yarn and fabric to create a sturdy and vibrant addition to any environment. The ‘log cabin’ technique highlights interplay between yarn and fabric; the ‘double block’ emphasizes a geometric relationship between color fields.
