I am a tapestry and rug weaver. My interest in textiles was triggered by a tiny scrap of Malaysian Ikat fabric I received as a child, dyed and woven with enough exotic detail and subtle mystery to inspire a successful career in weaving. After formative years in Art school and teaching, I began the pursuit of visual surprise on the flat woven surface, creating detail, mystery and illusion in cloth. Weaving is a personal and passionate journey of color and composition.
