| My work has
always been about surface, image and texture. Currently I am weaving with fine
mercerized cotton thread and a double layer structure. I strive for uniformity in the
material and process to have control in the production and finishing. The images I
weave come from a distillation of observation, drawing and invention. The pieces vary
in look from hard edge Modernist images, to blended Color Field landscapes. The cloth
is flat and smooth but the images show great depth. The finished work is hand stitched to
a stretched raw linen canvas frame for hanging on the wall.
