For over 30 years, I have been creating unique, custom hand woven metal compositions – wall art, sculpture, furniture. I am inspired by diverse artistic and cultural sources and I attempt to mesh the forms, textures, and images of ancient sources - American Indian, Japanese, pre-Colombian - with those of contemporary American crafts. I was attracted to the metal weaving process primarily because of its spontaneity but also because it allows me to transform humble copper and steel into breathtaking colors, textures, and structures.
